Join us! Everyone is welcome!
We practice every Wednesday from 6:00-7:30 pm at the Dance Studio in Toi Poneke (61/69 Abel Smith Street, Te Aro, Wellington).
What to expect?
The first 20 minutes are a warm-up following different routines and movements of a prehispanic practice (in Náhuatl known as Yeyecoa) which harmonize our energy through the body, mind, emotions and vital energy. After that, 1 hour to learn one of the traditional types of dance (which changes monthly) and finally 10 min of cooling down.
All dance levels are welcome, no experience is necessary and you don´t need a partner.
Come and talk to us, we are happy to answer any question you may have!
*Money shouldn’t be the reason why someone can’t come. If you really want to attend but can’t afford it, just contact us! We’ll be happy to talk and accept an affordable donation from you.
“Dance is what heals you, dance your life with your own experience, bring the elements from the tradition and dance with it. Like any other form of art, it needs to be sincere” Rubí Oseguera
